WDCB’s Gary Zidek talks to Chicago Reader senior writer and food critic Mike Sula about the publication’s new cookbook, READER RECIPES.

The Chicago Reader released a new cookbook filled with recipes from some of Chicago’s finest chefs and bartenders. The book, titled Reader Recipes, features 80 recipes edited by food critic & senior writer Mike Sula and Reader co-editor-in-chief Karen Hawkins. In addition to helping the Reader, which has been hit hard by the loss of advertising during the pandemic, a portion of the cookbook’s sales will benefit laid-off and furloughed hospitality workers.
