Could a 70-something New Mexico man be the key to a prophecy that saves the Amazon rain forests? That’s the headline question of the new documentary, THE MAN WHO SAVES THE WORLD? But the film is really a more nuanced look at one person’s efforts to make the world better. The documentary follows Patrick McCollum, an eccentric self proclaimed peace-maker. The charismatic 75-year-old has an incredible backstory, that includes a career as a successful jewelry designer, who then became a spiritual leader and international peace advocate. But the film takes a closer look at a more recent calling that involves him being part of some ancient prophecies to save the Amazon rain forests.  The doc comes from filmmaker, and North Shore native, Gabe Polsky.
