“Within this structure of jurisprudence and ‘justice is blind’, we get the sense that everybody comes into things with their own personal history. It may be known to others, it may not be known to others, but it influences to some extent the way they are going to approach larger issues of socio-economic import.” - Kerry Reid on ROE’s exploration of the real people behind Roe Vs. Wade.

The 1973 Supreme Court case ROE VS. WADE is the focus of Lisa Loomer’s 2016 play ROE, now receiving its Chicago premiere at the Goodman Theatre. Directed by Vanessa Stalling, and staring Christina Hall and Kate Middleton, ROE shines a light on the real women behind the landmark case.
