“I think the power of the story itself, which really is about an extraordinary dark and vicious underbelly of American culture, and the unusual technique are quite mesmerizing.” - Jonathan Abarbanel praising Lucas Hnath’s DANA H.

Goodman Theatre and Los Angeles-based Center Theatre Group are co-presenting the premiere of Lucas Hnath’s DANA H. The play’s very personal story comes from Hnath’s personal life. Adapted from a recorded interview, DANA H. recounts a traumatic incident when Hnath’s mother, Dana Higginbotham, was kidnapped and held captive for five months by a disturbed ex-convict.
