"We're very aware of the history, our model is based on the history.  All the projects that we chose are very curated and they're chosen with the history in mind, and built on that foundation." - Julia A. Miller, the new president & CEO of Delmark Records.

The origins of Delmark go back to 1953, that's when Bob Koester got into the music business.

A couple years ago, Koester decided to close the Jazz Record Mart and this year he sold Delmark to Miller and Barilari.
