WDCB's Gary Zidek catches up with the members of Sabertooth ahead of the group's performance at the Chicago Jazz Festival.
"It's carrying on that legacy of where jazz started, in the nightclubs, late at night, sometimes going into the next morning. I love the fact that we're playing those hours, that's where jazz started. It didn't start in concert halls or (with) performance seating, it was in a nightclub." - Sabertooth co-founder Pat Mallinger talking about the legacy of late night jazz.
Sabertooth has been playing late Saturday nights (early Sunday mornings) at the Green Mill since November of 1992.
Known for it’s large repertoire, you never know what you might hear at a Sabertooth show. And you never know who might stop by.
