New Production Transports Audiences to 1930s Southside Chicago Club
WDCB’s Gary Zidek catches up with acclaimed theater artist E. Faye Butler to talk about directing a new Drury Lane Theatre production of AIN’T MISBEHAVIN’.

Oak Brook-based Drury Lane Theatre has been transformed into a 1930’s Bronzeville neighborhood night club for its revival of the award-winning AIN’T MISBEHAVIN’.The musical review inspired by the music of Fats Waller debuted in New York 46 years ago. The Broadway production took home 3 Tony Awards that year, including Best Musical. Now it’s being revived by Drury Lane in a new production that moves the setting from Harlem to the southside of Chicago. It’s being directed by celebrated actress & singer E. Faye Butler.
