WDCB’s Gary Zidek sits down with Terra Foundation for American Art president/CEO Sharon Corwin to talk about the 2024 iteration of ART DESIGN CHICAGO.

Five years ago, the Terra Foundation for American Art provided an injection of resources to celebrate Chicago’s legacy as a hub for art and design. The initiative, called ART DESIGN CHICAGO, helped support 95 partner organizations and a full year of programming, that included 46 new exhibits, 29 publications and over 300 events. An estimated 2.5 million people engaged with those programs and Choose Chicago estimated the project generated $55-million in economic impact for the city.

A new iteration of ART DESIGN CHICAGO launched this week. The majority of the programming will take place in 2024, but some of it has already started and other parts will go into 2025.
