3Arts Ready to Celebrate New Crop of Awardees

WDCB’s Gary Zidek checks in with 3Arts executive director Esther Grimm to talk about the organization’s history and this year’s 3Arts Awards.

Chicago-based 3Arts is in celebration mode. The grant-making organization will be presenting its annual Awards Celebration virtually on 11/07. The event caps off an exciting period of giving, as 3Arts will award close to $500,000 in unrestricted cash grants to local artists. 

Over the past 15 years, 3Arts has supported more than 1800 creatives with a focus on women, artists of color and Deaf and disabled artists, who work in the six-county Chicago metro area. Three Arts executive director Esther Grimm says the organizaiton’s mission has always been to help underrepresented artists.

The 15th annual 3Arts Awards Celebration is set to take place virtually Monday November 7 at 6pm CT. You can watch the event on Youtube and find more information at 3arts.org.
