“Our mission and our goal really is to combat systemic racism and systemic injustices in the hopes to truly create a more just and tolerant future.” - Alaiia Gujral, Future Galerie creative director, talking about the platform’s mission.
A group of Chicago-based creatives is launching a new platform that exists at the intersection of art and activism. Future Galerie aims to provide support to a variety of social justice organization through a series of art auctions and sweepstakes featuring donated work from some exciting contemporary artists.
Creative director Alaiia Gujral and co-curators Lonnie Edwards and Dont Fret were inspired by the growing anti-racist and Black Lives Matter protests that emerged in the aftermath of George Floyd’s murder to create something that could support local social justice causes.
