New developments and stories in Chicago’s theater scene continue to unfold. iO, one of the city’s biggest improv theaters, announced it was closing for good last week. A recent article in the Chicago Tribune detailed some of the issues that led to the decision.

The COVID-19 pandemic claimed another arts casualty, the Mercury Theater announced its closing permanently. Kerry and Jonathan says they’ll both miss the Mercury Theater and hope the space will remain a theater.
