This past March, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s season came to an abrupt halt as the COVID-19 pandemic began to take shape. The CSO pivoted to the virtual realm, posting performance videos on social media in an effort to continue engaging with patrons and fans. However as the pandemic continued and it became clear in-person concerts wouldn’t be taking place in Illinois for a longer period of time, the CSO Association amplified its virtual offerings by introducing a new digital platform called CSOtv. The streaming portal offers an interesting mix of free and premium content that ranges from new chamber concerts to specialty programs.
