“I really think the story isn’t so much her (Vanessa) coming to terms with Ronnie, as it is with coming to terms with who she was before the attack and who she was after the attack.” - Kerry Reid talking about one of the characters at the center of PROXY.

It's been five years since two 12-year-olds lured their friend and classmate Peyton Leutner into the woods, where they repeatedly stabbed her in attack meant to please the fictional character "Slender Man." Leutner survived the attack and recently appeared on camera for the first time in an interview with ABC news.  A new musical, making its premiere at Underscore Theatre, seems to be partially inspired by the real-life Slender Man case.  In PROXY, a woman named Vanessa is still dealing with the trauma of being attacked by her former childhood friend, Ronnie, 15 years after the incident.
