On this edition of The Arts Section, host Gary Zidek catches up with WTTW’s Geoffrey Baer to talk about his new special, CHICAGO ON VACATION. The Emmy-winning host/producer ventured outside of the Chicago-area for his new program, which is all about Midwestern road trips. Later in the show, Gary talks to jazz legend Paquito D’Rivera. The 14-time Grammy Award winner recently turned 70, but he has no plans to slow down. WDCB morning man Paul Abella recently caught up with bass virtuoso Bill Dickens. The Dueling Critics, Kerry Reid and Jonathan Abarbanel, join Gary to review Teatro Vista’s world premiere THE ABUELAS. And Gary talks with author Anissa Gray about her debut novel, THE CARE AND FEEDING OF RAVENOUSLY HUNGRY GIRLS. The book is one of most buzzed-about books of 2019.
