Emagine cineplex in far west suburban Batavia unveiled Illinois’ largest movie screen. The Super EMX is the size of a basketball court. The gargantuan screen is the main attraction at the suburban theater. Fox Valley residents might remember the space as the onetime Randall 15 Theater. It first opened in 1994 and was a popular spot for area movie fans. Over the years there were some ownership changes and renovations. The theater went dark for a couple years after the pandemic forced all cinemas to close. It reopened after Emagine Entertainment acquired the venue in 2022.
