“That’s why our partnership works really well, because (Zoe) is super focused on the artists and the conversations between the works, and historically she deeply understands the contexts of these works, and then I come at it with an audience development standpoint. So, it’s a push-pull between the objects being centered in the space and the people and their experience being centered, and how do we create the best relationship between those things.” - Art In Common co-founder Abby Pucker talking about why her working relationship with curator Zoe Lukov works so well.

A new non-profit wants to bring down the barriers that traditionally have kept some people from engaging with contemporary art. The organization is called Art In Common, it was founded by Chicago-native Abby Pucker and LA-based curator Zoe Lukov. The enterprise is making its presence felt in Chicago, it just opened a free exhibition in the Fulton Market District titled BOIL, TOIL + TROUBLE
