The Chicago Symphony Orchestra announced its 2020-21 season on January 28. CSO Music director Riccardo Muti sat down with music critic Dennis Polkow for an overview of what’s coming up. The new season opens on September 17 with a free concert in Millennium Park that includes Beethoven and the CSO’s Beethoven at 250 celebration will culminate with some very special performances that represent an epic repertoire debut for Maestro Muti.
