A coalition of extremely talented people, including Yo-Yo Ma, Ava DuVernay, Pharrell Williams, Sophia Bush and Marc Ecko, are supporters of a project that wants to transform the American high school experience by rethinking & redesigning the current system.
The organization known as XQ was founded by former assistant secretary for civil rights at the U.S. Department of Education, Russlyn Ali and Laurene Powell Jobs to address what they believe is complacency at the high school level.
XQ is taking its awareness building campaign on the road with an interactive story-telling tour called XQ Super School Live.
Entrepreneur/fashion designer Marc Ecko is the founder of the extremely popular fashion brand Ecko Unlimited and the lifestyle magazine COMPLEX. Now he’s the chief creative and strategy officer for XQ. He’s excited about bringing the Super Schools tour to different cities in the U.S.
