WDCB's Gary Zidek catches up with visual artist Hebru Brantley
WDCB's Gary Zidek catches up with artist Hebru Brantley.
Hebru Brantley’s works have been exhibited at major cultural hubs all over the world. And his still growing collector-base includes names like Jay-Z, Beyonce, Lenny Kravitz, George Lucas and Rahm Emanuel.
A reoccurring character named FLYBOY appears in many of Brantley’s exhibitions, murals and gallery pieces. FLYBOY’s appearance is inspired by the Tuskegee Airmen, a group of WWII military pilots.
Hebru Brantley's new exhibition FORCED FIELD is on display at the Elmhurst Art Museum through November 26. Go to hebrubrantley.com for more information.
