The Arts Section 08/29/21: Black Composer Showcase + THE LOST LEONARDO Review

On this edition of The Arts Section, host Gary Zidek puts a spotlight on a Northwestern University music department project that highlights the work of classical Black composers. The Dueling Critics, Kerry Reid and Jonathan Abarbanel, will join me to review the U.S. premiere of THE THINGS I COULD NEVER TELL STEVEN, which just opened to in-person audiences. Later, Gary reviews the new documentary, THE LOST LEONARDO. And sometimes the best way to beat the heat is with some great ice cream, we’ll revisit a feature on one the area’s oldest ice cream shops.
