The Arts Celebrates 5 Year Anniversary

On this edition of The Arts Section, host Gary Zidek celebrates the program’s 5 year anniversary! Gary looks back at some of his favorite pieces that have aired on The Arts Section over the past five years.  Highlights include a profile of DownBeat Magazine, an interview with Jane Lynch and a story on Third Coast Percussion (that won a national Public Radio News Directors Incorporated award for Best Use of Sound). But it won’t be all looking back, Gary has a new feature this week, he’ll be taking a closer look at an evolving art project that looks at segregation in Chicago. What started as a photo exhibit is now turning into a play. Stay tuned to hear all about the Folded Map Project little later.
