Art & Science Mix In New Exhibit

WDCB’s Gary Zidek visits Aurora University’s Schingoethe Center to check out its new exhibit, BEYOND THE VISIBLE.

LISTEN

Two unlikely partners have come together for a new exhibit that mixes art and science. Aurora University’s Schingoethe Center and Fermilab collaborated to bring BEYOND THE VISIBLE to life. The exhibit features works from 7 artists, all of whom were Fermilab Arists-In-Residence at some point. The laboratory’s arts program launched in 2014, artists were invited to the particle physics research campus to create new work inspired by the scientists and research being done at Fermilab.

There’s an element of science in all works in BEYOND THE VISIBLE.

A CLOSER LOOK, Jim Jenkins.

BEYOND THE VISIBLE will be on display at Aurora University’s Schingoethe Center through May 10. You can find more info at aurora.edu/museum/index.html
