“It’s a month when we help the city understand the power of music, its history, its present and future, that’s what this is about. The scene in Chicago is stunning, but it isn’t necessarily valued by us or the world for what we are and what we’ve contributed to the music landscape.” - DCASE commissioner Mark Kelly describing the city’s monthlong In Tune Festival.

A month-long celebration of Chicago’s diverse and talented music scene is underway. The city is calling it CHICAGO IN TUNE. Jazz, blues, gospel, House, hip-hop, opera and pop are just some of the genres that will be on display as part of the festival. The programming is also geographically diverse with events taking place in virtually every Chicago neighborhood over the next several weeks.
