“I am excited for all of (our performances), honestly it’s been such a challenging year for everybody, for us to have the opportunity (to do) around a hundred shows, to get our kids up (on stage) and see those smiles come to life.” - Meggie Heilman, managing director of Trinity Academy of Irish Dance, talking about the number of St. Patrick’s Day week events Trinity dancers will be performing at this year.

This is usually the busiest time of year at the Trinity Academy of Irish Dance, as students prepare for hundreds of St. Patrick’s Day performances. Obviously, things are a little different right now because of the pandemic, but a year after being completely shut down, there’s reason for optimism at the Elmhurst-based school. Trinity is using a mix of virtual and in-person classes to teach its large student body, which includes students as young as 3 years old and as old as 18.
