Motorists making their way north or south on 294 have likely noticed a warm glow brightening their nighttime drives as they pass Impact Field in Rosemont. Over a million holiday lights are part of the new AMAZE Light Festival, which currently resides at the minor league baseball stadium. Visitors can roam the park taking in the sights of a timed light show and a number of colorful light installations. When the weather is warmer, Impact Field is the home to the Chicago Dogs, an unaffiliated minor league baseball team. The team’s co-owner Shawn Hunter is the person who came up with the idea to transform the baseball stadium into a winter wonderland in the off-season. He thins the light festival will become an annual tradition.
